Both the lines (in 2 diff towns 80 miles apart ) were perfect until the last week.

Something is up.

Luckily my area has dealt very well with the changes.

We haven't even required 8 downstream channels yet, still on 6 and my BQM's tend to have a lower ping than most other I see around the UK on Virgin.

Might go back up to 120/152 soon too!

That, my friend, is the dreaded over-utilisation raising its ugly head...

I had very similar problems for about 6 months during 2011 which caused me to leave Virgin and go back to ADSL (a measly 3mbps) as no FTTC in my area. I did, however, rejoin Virgin a little over a year ago as the problems had been resolved in my area. Virgin are able to alleviate such problems on-the-fly as reroute traffic/customers through different nodes and am curious to know whether the problems you noted in the 'Virgin Belfast' TBB BQM Graph have disappeared, as it seems to show that the problem disappeared at around 1450hrs on Saturday, 8th March 2014?

I am definitely going to get on to Virgin as I have just passed the first anniversary and am on 60/3mbps at the moment and see that a 'neighbour' could get 152mbps if ordering today.

All back to normal on both lines.

i had a very similar problem to this......

It turned out there was a SNR issue in the area and as soon as that was fixed my connection returned to norman.

Well for once I'm very happy with my connection, been playing xbox a lot lately and streaming Sky player from around 2-5am every night this week and not one issue.
