If you take the basic phone line too, you can get the Essential family Collection that is £54.99 at full price without offers.

http://store.virginmedia.com/bundles/essential-famil...

You could also request a Netflix trial and a discount,

I got it for £49.99 per month for 6 months and then £54.99 with 6 Months Netflix on new 12 month contract.

I was also promised I will get another discount if I phone back after my £5 runs out.

Serious problem in my area with very high utilisation and virgin media say it won't be fixed within 3 months later and told me I had to stay with below 2Meg for now. I only signed up 152 Meg a week ago, oh great, I cannot cancel it now as it went pass over 7 days cooling off period. Wish I never went back with Virgin Media.

Feel angry now!

If the issues continue then you could email the CEO office and request cancellation without further charges die to the issues your having and I'm assuming you switch to virgin from FTTC,

In my opinion that was a silly step unless that was not fulfilling your requirements.

It's a joke really. First 7 days I getting 159-161Meg and after 7 days, it crashed down to below 2Meg. I thought Virgin Media should be able to cope with network? What the point of 152Meg supercharged if there is high utilisation in my area? I feel cheated now.

Might be that more and more people are now getting the new speeds and also virgin has removed its traffic management policy off downloading so now the network might be running at full and it's putting stress on hardware and servers, if your saying it has just happened the relax for a couple of days and see if it improves and reboot the super hub a few times during the day too.

Might of crashed from high usage over the weekend.
