There's nothing wrong with a person changing his mind, particularly when there is no suitable alternative provider. VirginMedia has its many faults such as untidy installations, the appalling Indian call centre, horribly slow upload speeds and a total disregard for customer loyalty.

I've left and returned to VM about 3 / 4 times, but that was after only ADSL at between 5-8mb available but was never very stable on the old battered lines.

4th time was when I moved home really far from the exchange and still no FTTC was available and ADSL was 2mb as tested with Sky LLU connection which pcoventry will remember.

I agree, Not sure who's reply that was in response to but for me I have no other option apart from ADSL and looking at my NTE5 today it;s very old and I had to go on LLU to get any decent speed (even then it was 6mbps)

adslmax already has 76mbps FTTC live in his house so he has options aplenty. I really do think he is better off canning VM (for the final time) and getting another line in - he can still get he 152mbps down but he will have I think about 34mbps upload.

Anyone I am sure who had the choice would do the latter, it's after all the same cost roughly

He came back after leaving because of the poor service to then leave and then come back and then leave again.

I thought I was a yo-yo when I left and came back once!
