I don't control the account, i believe you have to sign into the members site and agree to it, which starts another 12 month contact.

My flat mate done it a few months back when we got the initial email.

It doesn't matter anymore. I was meant to have it first end of March, then April. Now it's anytime between June and August. I'll be moving to a non virgin area end of June.

As has been said many times before.. Getting the new speed does not force you into a new contract. I've had it 2 weeks had nothing come through and VM always send contracts in the post. Even Ben said there was no contract.

Yes, I'm aware when the free upgrade to the new speed comes (at the time specified on the supercharged website) it doesn't force you into a new contract, but when ringing up and trying to get it earlier (when it became available to new customers) retentions wouldn't do it without putting us on a new contract so I decided to wait till end of March, then April, now June-August.

I don't deny other people have managed to get it without a need to resign a contract, all I'm saying is I was flat out refused and have been twice now. No technical reason for it, just retentions told me that they would only be able to do it if I was to sign a new contract.

I might try calling up again this weekend and trying my luck but the women I spoke to on the prior occasion said I had to choices, take a new contract and get it now, or wait for the free upgrade as and when they push it out to existing customers in my area.

I need a direct line to the guy you spoke to!
