Seems on the signup page for VM, if you enter an address it will tell you if services already exist, I checked the 10 nearest houses to me and 9 have VM O_o.

For giggles I chose vivid 200, max tv and basic phone, and came to over £140 a month, crazy money for TV services now days.

I think mine says services exist, which is because the previous owners had NTL - so there is a coax / isolator point in the front room. It doesn't mean people are buying services from VM.

It's confirmed whether a property has had VM services installed, for the purposes of eligibility for a 'Quick start', for quite some time.

well I have a connector in my bedroom and living room so two of them and I was previously a customer but it doesnt say it for my address.

Lucky - means you won't get the "To the occupier" junk mail I get saying "Your road is already connected!".

It will be usual database accuracy issues. smile

yeah now thinking about it, I stopped getting VM junk letters a while back.

You do realise if you put in a postcode to their site you get an annoying salesman come round?

I am sure that's one way to pee off your neighbours

You just have to choose the right time to sign up.
I got the full tv, phne & 200 inc 2 tivo 6 boxes all for £85 for 12 months & £275 cashback via quidco (other cashback sites are available)
Beat what I was paying for less from sky...

and now I am getting the junk mail again, brilliant.

So someone does a check and then the computer says ok they authorise us to bombard them with junk.
