User Documentation for Hub 3

[link to this post]

I have just been connected, I have discovered the VM community forums and the rather random set of instructions.

However what I want to see is the URL s for all the documentation on using the Hub products.

I do not like jumping around a web site that is suppoosed to be a help resource to find that the hyperlinks are not working.

Is this an indication that the VM customer base cannot read -- or do not want to read.

Thanks for any information

Hi,

What is it you are trying to do with the Superhub 3? I am a Virginmedia customer for many years and know this router extremely well....

Hope I can help,

Yes I know that Google will help me out, but you have to understand what the question is, formulating the question is the problem - especially when trying to formulate one's first question.

I was attempting to get the device to run as a Modem only, I had seen the information online in the Virgin website but some of the links did not work for me. Using my stumbling arround technique I got it working.

I appreciate that there is a wealth of information online but I like to have read a manual so I can have a starting point for my investigatons.

With a bit of luck I will not need to do anything more to the Hub as all the work will be done on my routers and switches (for which I have good detailed information)

Thanks for confirming that VM do not have a coherent section of reference documentation.

VM Hub 3.0

If lower solid rectangular light is WHITE
* Hub 3.0 is in router mode
* admin GUI accessed at 192.168.0.1
* all four ethernet ports are active

If lower solid rectangular light is MAGENTA
* Hub 3.0 is in modem mode
* admin GUI accessed at 192.168.100.1
* any ethernet port can be used to connect to the customer router
# BUT that 'turns off' all the remaining three ports

Is this of any interest?

Here is a manual for the "UPC Connect Box" which is exactly the same product and interface as the Hub 3:
