Thanks for that detailed explanation, I’m guessing from reading all that then that something like cityfibre is a better service than virgin media, unfortunately I can’t get virgin media as they have only just brought their services to the town so are only in one small area at the moment but thankfully cityfibre have laid cables where I am so I can get that soon, which will be around 900mb down and 900mb up, so far superior to virgin media on the upload, the latency seems okay with my sister virgin media though it comes back about 16ms, but saying that I have seen some cityfibre services come back around 6ms so slightly better, it does seem though from all the reading that a cityfibre service is probably better than a virgin media internet service and most people would pick it given the options?.
