Not possible on residential.

I believe static IP on business is provided using GRE tunnels or some complicated method. The GRE tunnels can massively impact throughput.

In short gigabit with static IP can be a bit of a no go with Virgin

As far as I am aware, VM UK do not have any IPv6 offerings.

Just to add that this is using the DOCSIS / HFC network, generally cabled to domestic homes.

If you have a commercial premises and buy a leased line / circuit from Virgin Media Business then everything is different. Suspect this is not the question however.

Static IPs in a roundabout fashion possible on IPv4 with Virgin Media Business.

IPv6... hahahahahahahahahaa

Not on broadband. No IPv6 on Virgin, no gigabit service on their business cable offering.

You can get a static IP on the 500Mbps tier but my experience with the GRE tunnel is that it's unusable.

Been with Virgin Media for over 5 years and my IP address has only changed once. Not static but near enough for me!

You would be able to use AAISPs L2TP service on another ISP like VM.

Have made use of this when some events only wanted to borrow temporary connectivity rather than pay have a leased line, and you do get fixed IPv4/6 assignment as stated.

Limits you to 100M though, and the original question talked about "gigabit services".
