Interesting idea - thanks. Do they let you port numbers from VM?

EDIT: Just saw that its a company based in Germany so I guess likely answer is No.

That makes no sense and implies that all businesses on BT will be screwed.
Ofcom and Openreach have agreed that by 2025 that voice services over copper will be ended. This means if you pay BT Retail, or TalkTalk or Plusnet (etc) for a voice service, that service will have to be delivered by digital means.

Most providers will do this by giving you a new home router and you plug your landline phone into the router.

This does not require "Full Fibre" (FTTP), and can be delivered over FTTC (VDSL) and ADSL services.

You are correct. Sky did this for me in Feb 2021 when I was living in Lincs

p.s Bulldog was awesome - as was Metronet and a few other resellers

I will add I am using sipgate on a Polycom VVX 601 and on Groundwire, I started with the app first, but was given a physical phone so use both.

The physical phone is useful in my case as I sometimes have guests that don't have mobiles, so I just have a dedicated spare number added so if anyone needs them they can share that number and the rest of the time it is do not disturbed.

Not exactly short on line capacity with a VVX 601

Many Thanks,
