Price increases

[link to this post]

Hi folks. I'm considering joining Virgin Media - I'm currently on Vodafone FTTC. If I join Virgin Media now, am I likely to have my price increased as part of their 2023 mid-contract price-rise? I read that VM split their price increases between 1 April and 1 May, so would my first in-contract price rise be May 2023, or some time in 2024?

Thanks. In the past I've been bitten by ISP promises pre-signup, hence why I was trying to find out from current VM customers what their policy is. I've signed up now, so we'll see what happens - fingers crossed lol.

@andrum99,

I always mention right up front just what I can afford and make sure it's noted that I can't afford any price rises. When I learnt that my contract was going to go up, I called up and reminded them that I couldn't afford the price rise. They kindly gave me a discount for the next few months (as my contract is due to expire in July & I will be calling up in June to see what's available).
