IPv6 Support

Reset the hub as it was not giving any DHCP. I am now seeing IPv6 (about time) on virginmedia.

The sites suggesting my isp is fastly.

Is this possibly something to do with iOS as opposed to virginmedia? As I don’t think virginmedia actually has IPv6 in the hub - it’s not showing? Odd right.

I checked and I sure do, I don’t remember enabling it but it’s also on my MacBook.

I have been reading about it just now: a lot of talk that it breaks things and results in blocklists like VPNs due to a single IP being used by multiple users… I’ve clearly not noticed. I’ve never had an issue getting to a hotel or airport wifi landing pages etc either, so it definitely works better than most VPNs.

From my limited reading it seems like it’s in many ways more effective than a VPN? I’m always mixed on these things, I sway more in favour of privacy although that’s to protect the unintended person who inevitably ends up monitored due to the single bad egg. In my mind it’s like getting everyone on a train to be strip searched to find the one person stashing drugs somewhere “interesting” on their person.

Maybe there is something to apple claiming to value privacy as until now I’ve assumed it’s more of a buzzword lovely marketing ploy that gets the people talking smile.
