Re: Enable WAN ping for BQM on Super Hub 3

[re: jchamier] [link to this post]

Realistically no VM HUB is fit for purpose if you want something that works as it should you need your own kit, I have to say having had the HUB 3 4 and 5 the HUB 5 had the least issues that being said it feels like if I only had it for a month before I left for IDNET FTTP (over Openreach) (own PPPOE kit used) and YouFibre (Static IP assigned via DHCP)

Virgin had always offered me cheap deals at one point it was £21 a month with fully unlimited Virgin Mobile SIM on M100 and home phone.
I know there was one point where I had a negative bill for 3 months because of a billing error on their part after making changes but I left it alone while it was like that.

I know I got m500 for £29 a month which was a cracking deal at the time.

I am now on 32.99 for gigabit symmetric with static IP on YouFibre which virgin offered to match but I refused as they were like our package is quicker and I pointed out the upload and lower latency the and the agent didn't know what it was.

Once FTTP was available by two providers no price that Virgin Could offer was viable in my eyes.

Many Thanks,

Sadly despite having an FTTP provider outside my door, I cannot connect due to landlord issues….. flats are a headache.

Hi, I am in the unfortunate position of having to use my Super Hub 3 as a temporary router rather than in modem mode because my Asus router just died after 8 years.

I have always had BQM enabled but I can't see an obvious way to allow WAN ping on the super hub 3. Can someone please let me know how to do this? I Had a good search around but could not find helpful suggestions.

Thanks.

As far as I know can't be done but won't harm your service so all good from that point of view. If it degrades you'll notice during use.
