It looks like the CRC errors are caused by the powerline being in a surge protected power socket. I had been wondering about that for a time - its possible the FEC errors are too. I wont be able to test that tomorrow (hopefully).
It has certainly made a difference to the speed tests though, which is good
I would like to get rid of the powerline system completely - whilst it is good, it does introduce extra lag. However, to so would require LAN cables around the skirting board and then into the hall (cutting off a piece of the door to accommodate the cable.
