They do try and push their customers onto fibre, even if they have no desire to go. someone i know who is on sky broadband keeps getting phone calls, emails and letters from Sky trying to get them onto fibre.
Sky do not like taking no for an answer.

By all accounts Talk Talk is also trying to push people onto Fibre

I'm on Sky ADSL2+ with no TV or mobile, and I've fully opted out of all marketing in my Sky control panel. I don't hear a peep of marketing from them about fibre or anything else.

They do have full page newspaper adverts.

i will have to tell them to look at their Sky control panel. I do not get much from Plusnet to be honest, I had one phone call a few weeks after I had the service and that was to try and get me to have Plusnet Tv, to which I refused telling them I do not have a Tv licence, the other was a couple of months ago when they phoned me offer their mobile phone service, which was a bit strange as I was already using their mobile phone service and I still am.
One of the reasons i avoided sky was because of the fact they keep trying to get me to have Sky Tv.
