I had a fault raised with level 2 tech.

The guy said to me "before changing ISP you should ask them about the 'cable link' (ie. the backhaul) to see if it is flagged as being close to capacity". As I have a second non-vf line, I am tempted to see if vf will tell me as a potentially new customer that the service will be borked from day one!

The down is slightly better than a line I had in Kent but the up was always slightly better. I now have a Gigaclear connection. If you have the chance of using them in Somerset they are certainly worth considering.

Sadly at my parents the only option is a very long BT line, or hoping the wind blows in the right direction for a mobile signal (when standing in the garden!)
