Would this be correct for first months billing?

I just got my first bill from Vodafone. from my calculations the bill should have come to £39.90 £27.00 for broadband and line rental £12.90 for calls.

This is the bill I see, however.

I spoke to support and according to them, the bill will be £27 plus calls from next month onwards and the first bill is always higher.

I am a bit confused, to say the least.

Normally you pay for the line rental and broadband in advance but on the first bill you also have to pay for the line rental and broadband from the start date until the end of the end of the monthly billing period. My first bill was similar.

Mine was higher than I expected, when I queried it, seemed like they were charging for 1 month + n days, and then it settled into a standard monthly bill.

Remember you have 30 days to get out if the service falls below expectations - like backhaul overloaded. The "sync speed" offer is pretty much a farce!

If you've only just got your first bill now that's quite slow, since you've already been connected for almost a month. So you have to back pay from 4 Jun to 29 Jun, plus one month in advance, 30 Jun to 30 Jul, then from 30 Jul you'll be billed £27 + calls every month. Looks fine to me.
