Yes they do, but it's only available via their own router/hub. Very very few people have obtained their sip details from Vodafone to use with their own routers.
This isn't true. It is possible to use the landline without using the router. See here.
As for provision of SIP details, many support staff aren't aware but the details are obtainable on broadband support chat.
My point was out of over 8 million vodafone broadband users I know of only two that have managed to get their sip derails. Are you now number three?

Asterisk is a voip gateway and not a client. Without a server install of asterisk this is well beyond your average user.
