Hia, I might also go for TP link Beco 65. Was there a reason you went for BE 65 pro? and does it work as router or you still need vodafone router and connect the TP link to it.
thanks

Hi, unfortunately I don't use a landline, mobile only. Not sure if it works ok. I would guess it should be easy enough. I have read about others setting up VOIP phones with their routers. Not specifically this model though. Sorry for the late reply, these updates aren't coming to me for some reason.

There was no reason for going with the 65 Pro over the 65, other than cost.

It was £10 of a difference at the time, so I went for it. The 65 is virtually identical other than its ports are all 2.5 instead of some being 5.

I believe they are equally as good, looking at reviews the 65 gets more attention than the 65 pro.

You do not need to use the Vodafone router. You just need to obtain your username and password via chat with support and set it as PPPoe, through the setup wizard on your phone, Deco app. All very easy. Up and running in minutes.

Got the login and password but can’t connect to internet wink . These are never straightforward. Not sure where I am going wrong or if it is to do with unit. Used the app to set it up. Spent about an hour with vodafone agent who tried to help and gave up. Might need to jump ship. Beco works if I use vodafone router and use it as access point but speeds drop down considerably although relatively stable connection.
thank you all for your help.

Hi vivekp,

How strange. They are the most straightforward mesh system, or indeed router, that I have ever used.

Is the username and password correct? Are you copying and pasting it or free typing? Just in case there is a character that is misidentified, like 0 instead of O etc.
I would ask Vodafone to double check the username and password.

Literally all I did was to select PPPOE and enter the username and password, job jobbed.

Have you tried resetting the TPLINK node, trying another one of the three nodes instead?

There's a reset pin supplied in the box, just press the reset under the node..

What category of ethernet cable are you using from the ONT to the TPLINK node? Have you tried swapping it out?

I find it very hard to believe that there is an issue setting these up as it is unbelievably easy.

What speed is your FTTP connection?

Cheers!

FTTP speed 900mbps with vodafone router.
if I use TPlink as access point with vodfone router speeds drop to 250-300mbps.
I used the same cable which connects to vodafone router without problems. Will try with another ethernet.
there is o in the password, tried copy pasting from chat also.
tried resetting few times, tried a different deco unit but all of them with same problems, after going through the app and setting up wifi , red light come on.
vodafone agent had patience of saint and spent 60min on video chat to sort this !
Yes, can’t fathom what is going wrong.
Will try one more time and probably return tplink ( hopefully amazon will agree to take them back)
