Gigaset N300IP Dialing Plans

[link to this post]

This may be a stupid question, but it is driving me mad, as I can't get it to work.

I have a fixed line and a localphone SIP account setup. I have one handset registered to send outbound calls via the SIP account. I am trying to add in exceptions, using the dialing plans to call 1471, 111, 999 etc via the fixed line.

No matter what I try I can't get it to work! Please can someone give me an example of what I should be entering into the Dialing Plans section - I have tried entering 1471 as Phone number, unticked use area code, and selected connection as fixed line but when I try and enter the number I just get bleeps like it is trying to use the SIP account, and the number doesn't exist.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Are the respective handsets setup to use both fixed line + SIP accounts?

I think I may have found the issue - this is what I am seeing https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2346785

I should have said I was using a standard GAP handset. Will try and get a proper Gigaset handset off ebay, and give that a go. If that is the problem, it will be annoying as I was hoping to use my existing GAP handsets, but without access to emergency calls that isn't going to be possible.

I’d say that’s your issue.

When I was using mine, it was with Gigaset handsets and I had it setup to prompt which outbound line to use on calls. Sounds like your issue is very much down to lack of compatibility using GAP which only supports a skeletal basic functions on Gigaset.
