Re: ATA and BT8600 Continual Ringing Problem

[re: harryhamster] [link to this post]

Hi,

I have a Grandstream HT801 V1 ATA and a BT Decor 2600 with call guardian.

If I suppress my mobile number and ring the A&A VOIP number configured in the ATA, the CG kicks in, I announce myself, press #, and then the BT Decor 2600 rings and waits for me to answer and decide to accept/block the call. If I don't pick up the 2600 and end the call, the ringing stops.

Strangely, if I don't suppress my mobile, the call goes through. This is after resetting to the 2600 - so I don't know how it knows my mobile as a "good/valid" number. I need to review later this week. Sorted: There is a "contact" list and an "allowed" list. A reset doesn't delete "my data" - there is another option for that step.

Note, there is a newer V2 GS HT801. Faster processor, 2x RAM (512M), unique random password per unit, new UI design, 1Gbit of flash. I have bought one but not set it up. I'm hoping to take the V1 settings and put them in the V2 with a bit of cut/paste.

About the same price as the V1.

Couldn’t sworn I’ve just read a very similar thread over at ISPreview forums. You wouldn’t happen to know a @housemartin @ harryhamster? 😂
