BT Plug to RJ45 Socket flylead

I have now used up the few BT Plug to RJ45 Socket fly leads that I had and am struggling to find a source for a few more. Do you know of a source of supply that I could use? With thank in advance.

Nope. That will pug into a BT socket but the 'outputs' are BT socket and RJ12. No where to plug CAT5 in! Thanks' for the thought though.

Nope. That is CAT5 to BT socket; typically that would be called a PABX master and the sort of connector that a phone would plug into when the service is being supplied over the structured wiring.

Your are on the ball "yarwel", thank you. I had previously seen the Amazon page but hadn't the confidence that it was an RJ45 and not RJ12 connector.

So I think my choice will be with http://www.run-it-direct.co.uk/bttorj45patchkit.html
but I bet it is a secondary connector for the 'remote' end when a master is actually required.

The combination of these two items allows a fax machine to be connected over the structured wiring, picking up the telephone service from a remote telephone socket.

A further use is in conjunction with a Vigor 3820Vn to bring the VoIP service to a POTS phone over the structured wiring.

I am at a loss why these useful bits to do this task are relatively difficult to track down, I would have thought there would be a healthy demand for them.

perhaps people just stick RJ11s into the RJ45 sockets of structured wiring and ignore BT plugs ? phones etc generally have RJ11 sockets on them, it's just the flying lead that presents a BT plug.

I don't have much confidence in this product because it unnecessarily uses six cores when only four are required and the CAT5 coupler and plug adds to the cost. Previously used the telephone cable went directly into a moulded connector with just a CAT5 socket and was less than £2 two years ago. OK it could be £4 now but if only I could remember where I purchased it from!

However thank you for drawing my attention to this item, it would probably do the business.
