With many thanks

Not after much are you?
They may not meet all of your requirements but I am currently using a small VOIP service provider who will allow most hardware, will Port In and Out any of your numbers, reasonable call rates in both UK and International. Support is good too.
Have a look at port5060.net

I've found three providers that tick all the boxes and will choose one of them following a meeting face to face next week. My need was previously meet by a VoIP hosting company who sadly is shutting up shop in a couple of month's time.
It does also seem to me that your URL points to a VoIP provider that potentially ticks all the boxes for us as well, but it is unclear if your own hardware can be used. Support for 999 would be welcome but is rearly available.

Yes, you can use your own hardware with them. The do sell and configure but that is an option. I have a Gigaset GO and all I did was configured it with their settings.

I'm with yay.com and pretty sure they offer, most, if not all of the above on their voip services - incl the use of your own hardware and 999 services. Their phone support is brillant, they answer the phone almost immediately and 9/10 times will resolve your query there and then. They offer a web seminar twice a week for new customers in which they explain the basic and advanced features of their service as first time users can find their online portal daunting at first.
I did try German based sipgate.co.uk and whilst they are dirt cheap, their support wasn't the best (took 3 days to reply to email LOL) and their voip features are considerably less than yay.

I suggest that you ask Voipfone if they can do what you want.

Most providers will be able to do much of what is on your list there, all I would add is don't get too hung up on packages, they nearly always in general work in the suppliers favour. You will find that most packages actually charge per minute so if you make a one second call you get a minute taken off your package.
With regards to the 999 thing you mentioned, avoid like the plague anyone who does not provide emergency services access as it is a legal requirement to do so.

I didn't like the way they locked down the phone inhibiting my ability to add additional hosting providers and they insisted I had to use their own hardware and have a broadband service from them.Contract length was far too long.

Perhaps roll your own asterisk server for all this!

Strange. I've used Voipfone for work for coming up four years now, and moved the home connection over about 18 months back, and they don't do any of those things. Use what hardware you want, mix providers, pay monthly, use your existing broadband.
