VOIP Registration

I am a new user of VOIP. I have joined Sipgate Basic and purchased a Grandstream HT 801 adapter. Should this be able to work on my ADSL, BT Home Hub 4 which has an average of 7 mbps?

I have been wrestling to get it registered/working using Sipgate's setting up instructions to the letter but unfortunately I have had no success. Any help will be appreciated.

Cannot help with set up however there should be no problems associated with the HH4.

Voip tends to need 100kbps in both directions - it can be less but use that as a ball park - so at 7Mbps you will be fine

Thank you. Problem solved, I had the VPM connected to my PC on which I was filling in the registration details (my Operator Error !).
