SIPGate basic becomes SIPGate starter

Looks like this gives you access to all the features of SIPGate Team for a single user with slightly higher call costs than I recall...

Looks like prices have gone up from 1.18p/min to 1.8p/min for landline and from 9.9p/min to 15.48p/min for mobiles.

I can't see a lot else different in my account - still looks like the max 2 devices registered.

Spoke to them last week, they have been transferring customers across all week and the website apparently isn't working quite as it should. The £9.95 package for landline/mobile for residential should still be available, but only shows for the link you posted some time back, once you click on anything else it 'disappears'.

I suspect they will adopt a minimum credit model soon, the current one of PAYG, without any obligation to ever make a chargeable call is probably unsustainable

It will be interesting if anything has changed detrimentally from Sipgate Basic? I didn't even realise there was a 2 device maximum. I hope I haven't missed out - I should have registered months ago on the Basic package.

Same here(*), but the web interface also shows me a popup saying "Your current tariff conditions will change on 13/07/22" - which just links to https://www.sipgate.co.uk/all-call-rates

The compare all features table now shows:

* Multiple Users (incl. Login): No
* Number of included connections per user: 1

That sounds like they *might* limit to 1 SIP registration per account. We'll see if anything changes next Wednesday.

(*) What I currently see in the UI is one "phone" with 2 registrations (i.e. two devices registered with the same credentials).

Hmm I signed up for sipgate basic a week ago (the signup form is still available) without realizing and ended up instantly converted to sipgate starter.

It then asked to port a phone number to them and they gave me the £30 price for sipgate basic and the sipgate basic forms not the £20 porting price that teams list despite my no being on teams? Or perhaps sipgate starter doesn't count as teams?

So all a bit of a muddle.

It was £30 to port when I did it at the start of the year on Basic. I think they have you the option of paying in two installments.

That's what I was offered, £10 then £20 at a slightly later stage.
