ATA, DECT and answerphone issue

[link to this post]

I have just set up a Grandstream HT802 ATA on Voipfone, plugged in an old PSTN phone and all appears to work fine. So the next stage of this, I connected a BT8600 PSTN DECT with answerphone, which mostly appears to work --- BUT --- if I call into it and then hang up, the answerphone engages and it proceeds to record the disconnected call.

Now there are more settings than you can shake a stick at on the HT802, but I am thinking that may be the line polarity from the ATA to the BT8600 should change if I drop the incoming call, to alert the BT8600 that it's all over and there is nothing to record.

So can anyone for sure tell me that the line polarity should swap at the end of the incoming call? Or does anyone have any other ideas on how to fix this?

Look for "loop current disconnect" as a setting in the ATA. Enable it and my similar issue went away.

Yep, that fixed it! Thanks very much.
