Designing First Website

Hi there

I`m just starting to create my first website, and was just looking for a couple of pointers. I`m using Frontpage 2003, and I`ve created my first page OK. However, if I preview the page in my browser, and minimize the window, all my pictures and writing sort of move about, in order to fit into the window. How do you sort of lock all the stuff onto the page, so when you minimize it stays where it is??

I just havent got my head around the whole screen resolution thing yet!

Any help would be much appreciated!

You could just stick everything in a table and force the width of that (you will probably want to center the table tho)
e.g.

</HEAD>

<TR>

<TD>

This is how ADSLguide does the Forum.

(But you really need a width of 780, so that when your page is longer than the screen, there is room at the side for the scroll bars.)

personally, buy photoshop cs2, its much easier to design the site, it even gives you imageready to slice and convert it to html :O

is it expensive..... yes easy to use.... yes tutorials are easy to follow and you pick it up in no time
