DNS Reports

[link to this post]

I am currently subscribing to DNSstuff.com; primarily for the DNSreport service they provide (a very comprehensive report on whether DNS servers are correctly setup or not).

However the service is getting prohibitively expensive.

The latest renewal email wants me to cancel my existing membership 3 months early and getting an extra year by paying two for the price of one - at an increased fee which is twice as much per year. And I thought only bankers were greedy. ;(

Anybody know of any alternatives?

Thanks for the response.

I had already looked at them. They do not do the full DNSreport which is the main reAson I signed up to DNSstuff.com.

i.e. checks like:
Text
1
23
45
67
89
1011
1213
Your NS records at the parent servers are:
ns1.domain.org.uk. [82.68.xx.yy] [TTL=172800] [GB]ns2.domain.org.uk. [78.32.xx.yy] [TTL=172800] [GB]
The parent servers have glue for your nameservers.
That means they send out the IP address of your nameservers,as well as their host names.
The DNS report did not detect any discrepancies between the glue provided
by the parent servers and that provided by your authoritative DNS servers.
Your SOA EXPIRE time: 2419200 seconds. This seems normal (about 1209600 to 2419200 seconds (2-4 weeks) is good).
and lots, lots more all in one report.
