Selling a website?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of selling their website? e.g. how much it's worth, where to sell, etc.

Unfortunately, I've been working so much for the past 8 months that I've had no time to update my main site, and there's quite a nice community there I feel I am letting down by not updating as much as usual. I can't see this getting any better so have come to the conclusion that selling up might be the best option, as much as I'd prefer not to

You mention you have a 'nice community' - I would have thought this would be a good place to start! See if any of your users would be interested.

As for worth, it's rather hard to say without more details.
Does the site create any income? Is the domain name likely to be of interest to others? etc. etc.
