It look like it not ace internet fault, as it appear that BT probably throttle p2p on their own network or the local exchange of your. I heard it somewhere in the past that BT had placed traffic shaping and usage caps on ADSLMAX because it sharing with everyones as there is no 20:1 or 50:1 anymore.
Alots of isp's had a traffic shaping now to make it fair for other customers to surf, email, video streaming and most of them don't use p2p.
I think the year 2007/2008 will see p2p to dying away and no more illegal p2p. It time to buy your own movies, softwares and music and not copy illegal.
I do understand some of you using p2p for non-illegal and will not sell it to others but UK does have around 20% of illegal on their p2p.
My work employee had been arrested by the police for p2p illegal movies and burn to dvd and sell it to customers before the dvd release in the high street. He had been fined up to
I should be calling pipex for my mac on Monday, suspect they will say gotta wait 3 days for it. Anyway when i change over to Ace Internet 8meg Biz that is around
Well if it`s B.T thats doing it why is it only Ace customers thats getting throttled. If B.T had started doing this then every forum on here would be full of screaming people with very sharp knifes.
As for your workmate he probably deserved all he got if he was selling 100`s of DVD`s for profit.
And you wont see the end of illegal downloads cause a lot of people are switching to LLU unlimited providers while B.T and ofcom carry on there price war to drive every other ADSL isp into the ground.
Appreciate the update Steve. I'll be interested to hear what Mistral say.
I'm anticipating that none of us are going to like the news.
Not a good first impression to someone who's been on your service less than a week
