I'm one of the support people earlier mentioned. If you want to give me some details, I'm happy to look into your issues.

Hi M, I'm an ex PlusNet user - I don't want to start a war here but after a year I really struggled to find a good reason to stay with PlusNet, and I had exactly the same issues as you. Hesitating on pages; sometimes lack of access and generally very poor internet viewing all round.

I am a light user so I had many options open to me and I choose NewNet - an instant difference; lost the stumbling; instant access to all sites viewed and the email even worked

I'm not suggesting it's all PlusNet fault but it doesn't help with their absolutely terrible customer service and lack of technical support - I would move on.

On the above mentioned: did you migrate in or were you a new connection? If the latter, you may be caught up in the five-year depreciation issue on connection and hardware!

Let us know.

Thanks - Blue

I don't think it applies to you, but if you were a new connection there is a condition that states there is a 5-year % drop charge for the hardware and deferred new connection fee, or something very similar - I believe a lot of people were not to impressed with this and it's been mentioned and fought over many times.

And the 5 year depreciation that you refer to is being amended to one year in the coming months.

Meaning that for anyone that remains with us for more than 12 months, all deferred charges will be waived upon migration/cancellation.

I appreciate that this has long been argued, partially down to many not understanding the terms when signing up.

Don't care! Doesn't concern me lol

Basically im looking to move to someone that's the same price/less with about 25gb a month limit.

Newnet seems good. Will see how long their contract is so i can escape if its pants!

What will happen when i migrate? i dont want to end up paying two isp's in one month!
