Being tormented by gotchas - can anyone help.

OK, it's a list of preferences of sorts, but I still can't find one I want to do business with yet.

One Company to deal with ever, IE not a reseller.
Don't have a downer on customers because you don't happen to live in the exchange.
Good with migrations in and out. ie they are known to push BT adequately when BT are being stubborn etc.
No charge on migrations.
no more than 1 month contract.
no more than 30 days notice.
Are not afraid to push BT for any sort of adjustments to be made.
Non all Max service, but 1Mb or 2Mb fixed are available. ADSL2+ would be considered
no insistence on you using their modem/router
Help via e-mail possible as well as phone.
Don't need to be constantly chivvied to see that they have done what they said they would.
Allows servers
Static IP is a cheap option or included.
NO throttling or port blocking
FUP OR Limit, prefer not both. Limits must ultimately be generous and fair for a digital photography and 3d rendering nut. (GFX files can be big, and get swapped often with others)
Sub

Sounds like IDnet to me. Check them out by phone or email as well as their website.

Thanks very much.

I'm amazed how often this supplier keeps popping up, there are some potential issues that were identified by myself and some of their users earlier on in my research. I guess finding a way to minimise those could be a way to go. Does not look all that easy to find a way around the issues. but it may be possible. Certainly worth spending some more thinking time on it though.

I wonder if there ARE any other genuine contenders? It's really not looking like it.

Cheers

I would recomend Idnet or Zen. You cannot go wrong with either.

Thanks, I think IDNet is going to get the business; Zen don't seem to be playing too nicely with the other kids lately. That's a great shame too, I always admired them until that happened, even recommended them to another when I used to do that. They would otherwise have been a natural choice.
