sky broadband zero upload speed?

[link to this post]

I recently moved to sky broadband from freedom to surf.

I am not happy with them at all.

But the main problem i am having with sky broadband is with zero upload speed.

when using p2p network, i am getting download speed , buit however i cannot share any filesat decent upload speeds. Its always zero. Or maybe i get 2-3 kbs.

I am using the netwgear 834gt router.

Does anybody know whats going on?

Do i need to change any settings?

How do i get better speed?

Yep what fluff said, if its bit torrent you are using there needs to obviously be leechers for you to be able to upload
I highly doubt anything is wrong with the connection if you are getting a good download speed on torrents, also whats the speed test say here??? If that measures your up-rate fine then there is nothing wrong with the upload side of your connection and its more likely an issue with your P2P software.......

I trust you have forwarded the ports correctly in your NEW netgear router you got from sky???

Go here...
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/DG834GT/DG834GTindex.htm
scroll down and select your P2P app from that list and it will show you how to forward your port for your file sharing program.

Mr Coventry,

I'm falling over with laughter at your lack of knowledge of what bit torrent/ P2P actually is. Worse still is that you're having a go at someone when you dont know what you're talking about.

Not all P2P or torrent download is illegal.

And anyway, who made you God?
