problems with isp,need help an advice choosing

HI all!im new

Right im currently with virgin media and i live on the isle of wight!i have just requested my migration code because iv had enough of the awful connection!!
I am an online gamer i have an xbox360 and a PS3 so i need a provider thats supports those consoles and a netgear ADSL router!!
Im leaving virgin because even though i recieve the full 8.1MBps im supposed to,i get an average ping of anywhere between 200 and 600ms the best its ever been is under 100ms but that was a 1off!It usually floats between 200-250ms in normal circumstances!! I ping www.bbc.co.uk with a ping plotter!virgin admitted they had a high ping problem and have let me leave with no charge!i was paying
