Basically O2 are very good, but due to rapid expansion because of that and because of the good pricing they are having occasional problems with things falling over or more equipment taking a while to be delivered by their suppliers. I don't often get any trouble so I'm very happy.

Do you know there are two different product ranges? The "Within area" (LLU) which is what you want if you can get it, and the "Outside area" (ADSL Max). Details on this page.

If you haven't checked your phone number on the O2 web site you could also ask samknows. Look for O2/Be in the LLU Operator Presence list, as that gives a possible date for the LLU service if it isn't already there.

Which ISP are you with at the moment, and can you post your line stats if possible? That would let us tell you what sort of speed you ought to get so which package is best for you. If you don't know how to get the stats look here or here.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
