I agree with you re your conclusion, but a 17% increase in sync is hardly negligible. Half a meg at 12Mbps you would be right.

Ah, I didn't say it was negligible - I said that I thought it wasn't worth the hassle or cost.

Assuming the OP is currently paying �5 to sky then paying �17.50 or even �13.50 to Be for a 17% increase is, in my opinion, an expensive upgrade. If the OP has other issues with Sky then maybe it could become worthwhile - but only they can judge.

OP Here and no, I have no issues with Sky (at least as far as the broaband is concerned - I'd recommend it).

I have issues with copper pair broadband and the laws of physics but that's a worthless beef :-)

The risks of losing what I have (which given the distance to exchange) mean I'm going to leave well alone.

I've done as much as I can I think and will live with what I have.

I suggest stay where you are if rock solid, I would be genuinly surprised if you got that much of a boost moving to BE.

Your synch is already good for your attenuation in my opinion.

If you have the netgear that comes with sky you might well get a upstream synch boost on BE tho.
