Be or O2. In either forum look for a recent post by MKD and follow the tinyurl link in his sig for his comparison document.

Though if you have a long line, which looks possible, they may not take you. (Avoid O2 Access).

Yeah as Robert says. Did you stay on 1mb for the pings or do you have such a long line that it wasn't worth upgrading?

You have 21cn too, so presumably if 02 reject your line you could try AAISP for 21cn, or perhaps even...Entanet.. maybe. IDK what the pings are like on Entanet wbc though (probably bad).

Entanet WBC pings are pretty good.

My own ADSL 2+ connection (ELSTREE exchange) gives 9.4ms as the average ping time to www.jolt.co.uk

i didnt stay on it for the pings, ive just never changed from it,been with ukonline for 18months..but 8 months out of the contract..

what it was 8-9 months ago online on the xbox was great,,and i did have pings of around 20-30 then, about 6 months ago i came of live got bored,,but now ive decided to go back on about 3 wks ago,i started to noticed poor gaming, looking into it only difference is the pings are much higher

infact to the usa 240+

just rechecked and my line distance from is 1.93km

when ive checked with providers they estimate 6mb on my line.

goin back to o2,as i have a contract with them, are they not having problems with speed atm?

Only on O2 Access which I warned you about. And last Sunday and today on LLU but both appear to be upgrading or faults, certainly today is being reported as a fault.

You should get offered O2 Standard if they are estimating 6Mbps - that's fine. Also if you sign up through Quidco (after clearing cookies) you should get a £70 cash-back. Together with a free first month, 30-day getout clause and £7.34 per month after that, does any more need saying?

cheers for that help,,i m already waiting for £46.66 from o2 for the new contracts through top cash back,,did not realise they was offering £70 back + 1 month free,,how do they manage to do it..

i will look into them, see how much the FUP will go,i use around 60-80GB-month,i estimated 15gig in demos from market place last month.

The FUP has never been enforced, nobody has ever reported warning messages. 80GB a month is small by Be/O2 standards I reckon.

How much cash-back from Top Cash?
