100 GB/m for £35....any cheaper?

[link to this post]

My current ISP has a tariff advertised of 100GB per month for £35....

The pings with them are really poor (according to my gaming son.... wink ) but they have good reliability (which is more MY concern....)

As we have 4 PC's almost constantly online in our house, our current 50 GB/m constantly comes under threat and I have to watch things towards the end of the month!

Our local exchange....though not exactly 'in the sticks' has very limited choices available.....(http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WNRWX)

So I'm thinking of going up onto their next package up (BT IPstream).....

I get a good 'full whack' connection atm as I'm only a few hundred yards from the exchange....I'm just wondering what my options are for about the same monthly amount elsewhere.....?

Cheers!

Your LLU choice appears to be limited to Orange and TalkTalk.

I'd stick with your existing ISP.

Thanks John.... Yep, my options are certainly VERY limited with regds to LLU....

I was just wondering if there any decent IPstream ISP's with a similar (or more....) monthly allowance for roughly that amount!

Was previously with Entanet...but their demise has been well documented on here over the last few months.....

Cheers

Can't get you a 100GB/m but Vivaciti have a newish product Surfwise that would give you 75GB/m for £21/m. Its promoted as a flexible FUP so they would not shoot you for going over one month if you were under another, etc. Although to be fair its only been running for a month or so and so we only have their word for that. Depends if you can rein in those teens a bit. It not quite what you asked for but its a lot cheaper.

If you don't need that capacity in DAYTIME 9am-6pm them AAISP have packages from £21+vat to £38+vat depend on how much daytime traffic you do need. Their daytime usage works out pretty expensive (and only 2-8GB/m in that price range), eve+weekend is ok at 100GB/m and 2am-6am and UPLOAD are all free.

As a resold BT product 100GB costs the ISP about £50. Most ISPs (all?) gamble that users use less than their allowance.

Vivacity are/were on Entanet.....I left Enta (re-seller) as I was so disillusioned with them....don't want to go back - or anywhere near them - untill (or if) they resolve their appalling recent service issues tbh.....

(thanks for suggestions though btw wink ....)

As BipolarBear says re vivaciti.

They have introduced Surfwise 75 from O-Bit and LLU Unlimited from C & W precisely because of the Enta issues - Titan and ADSL24 have done similar. Their web sites aren't all fully reflective of the new packages - but TBB have changed the name of the Other forum to "Resellers and Other Providers" and moved it to the start of the ISP list from General Discussion to cater for this. So questions there or on their own site forums are occurring.

That shows how bad it is on Enta! But means these resellers aren't lying down and waiting to die.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
