Which C&W LLU reseller to choose?

[link to this post]

I've had enough of my ADSL2+ Entanet connection. Right now BT's 21cn WBC is more like 19CN.

My exchange is C&W enabled so who do I use: Aquiss, Xilo or Vivaciti?

Xilo is best on price for a 16Mb unmetered package @ circa £17 a month, but it is £40 pound upfront for the LLU migration.

Vivaciti initially charges only half the £40 fee, so its £20 + circa £21 a month for an "unlimited" up to 24Mb/s package.

So atfer 5 months, Xilo is cheaper. But how do Xilo sustain their price compared to other C&W re-sellers?

From my router stats, I'd estimate actual speeds might be something like 14Mb/s on Xilo and 17Mb/s on Vivaciti.

These are fairly new deals so it's hard to tell. You're better off posting in the "resellers" section.

As it's a resold C & W service, (as you say), the speeds will be identical.

Out of the three, I have been with Vivaciti and I am now with Xilo, like others say the speed/service is the same (both through C&W).

Xilo - £17.24
Aquiss - £21.48
Viva - £21.85

I can definitely recommend Xilo out of the two, they are cheaper and their support was much better, also the control panel you get is great.

When I spoke with Xilo, I was informed that you'll go on as fast as the exchange supports i.e. if your exchange is enabled up to 24mbps that's what you'll get, but I suppose unless you query this with them direct or try going over to them you won't know.

I don't know how Xilo manage to undercut the other two, nor does Vivaciti when I informed them of their price's when I left.

On the £40 new connection, Xilo were offering a discount on new connections which meant you paid half the connection fee i.e. £20 instead of £40 (this is what I done). I know Vivaciti offer this service, but if you leave them within 6months you have to fork up for the other £20.

NB : I see Aquiss offer the premium 20:1 contention at £28.34 a month, Xilo offer this as the Pro Office package at£22.99 (£19.99+vat).

Thanks for people's input. Think I'll have a chat with Xilo.
