Unthrottled 1-month contract ISP?

[link to this post]

I'm currently with Freedom2Surf. Been with them a while (since before they were bought out several times over), but recently the traffic shaping has been getting to me, so I think it might be time to move. Here's what I want:

- 1-month contract (3 months would be okay too, but *not 12 months*)
- No traffic shaping (or very little), no port blocking or other connection mangling
- Bandwidth limit is fine, but I'd want it to be around 50GB a month
- Cost is not a big issue, under 30 pounds a month would be good though
- I don't need it to be fast. Currently on 8MB (no LLU), which is great.
- Static IP and no connection dropping (I run a server at home)

Anyone got any suggestions for me?

N.

If you can manage with tiny Mon-Fri daytime allowance then AAISP.

Otherwise as suggested by john2007.

Not really Enta as now (not) cheap and (yes) nasty. Traffic management seems to be getting heavier over the last month after a brief recovery from the mess of congestion in the first half of the year.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
Purple Cloud for domain, email and web space.

You might want to check out the Vivaciti Surfwise and Titan ADSL Surf 8 packages. They are similar and from the same wholesaler over BTW. If the bugs are out these should be unthrottled.

If you are on an exchange with LLU from C&W (still often referred to as Bulldog). Then you could look at the various offerings from Vivaciti, Xilo and Aquiss. Check out my thread in this same forum. Only Vivaciti like you to stay for more than a month and thats only because they eat half the setup fee for you.

If you can deal with the price/bandwidth offered then the suggestions of Zen and Idnet and AAisp are also excellent.
