ISP Advice for London LWHEN exchange

Hello all, this is my first post and need advice for reliable broadband in the London NW4 area.
Currently with Virgin 10Mb, TV and Phone bundle, uses are for downloading, p2p streaming and wfh. Have experienced speed slow down and concerned with throttling. Considering Sky offering but I'm unsure if I can get 20mb on the BT phone line. Virgin told me the best I would get is 7Mb down the BT line!

I'm thinking it may be best to stick with Virgin and wanted recommendations from you guys with more experience. Is there anything I can do to keep reliability up on the virgin broadband. I have read the post on enabling protocol encryption to help with throttling and will test this out.

On that exchange you have O2/Be, assuming they have spare capacity. Do you aready have a BT line?

If so see what estimate you get here.

There is no speed restriction, congestion or throttling on O2 or Be, but you can't get TV. So perhaps Sky is a better bet for you. Speeds on Sky Unlimited should be the same as the O2 estimate, so you would at least have a non-Virgin view of the matter.

If you haven't got a BT line then samknows should give an estimate as well. Maybe look at that anyway as well as the O2 one.

Sky have an estimator too, works with your address if you haven't got a landline.

I do not have a BT line, it got disconnected and switched to the virgin phone.
Checked on samknows, I have ADSL2+ with O2, Be, Sky Max, UK online.
so the sky bundle with sky max may be a good option over virgin.

I'd already checked samknows, but the link I gave you is to their Exchange Mapper, not the search, and can give you a speed estimate as well based on the address.

I think the Sky one will as well.
