Wireless connection to the router?

I'm not a gamer so my next question may be daft - is it possible to connect wired and see what happens?

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre.

No i'm wired, I have a open nat and also almost 4 bar connection every game, I seem to get less lag after 10pm or 11pm, Which is why i think its network releated.

Ah!

Do you think you could leave the router on when not using it please, just for a couple of days?

It's OK to turn the computer off, but we could do with seeing what happens when there is nothing happening at your end. That will show if there is a background problem.

All we can say for certain from the graph is that router was off between 1:45am midday.

At 7:15pm latency was high for a while, but very likely down to a download and similar period at 10:45pm.

There was some high pings between 8pm and 10pm, but with even just the PS3 online, it does fetch little bits that might affect the latency on the box.

If it was ISP congestion I would expect to see it rising from around 4pm as a steady ramp, rather than bursts which look more like you were downloading something at the time, or otherwise just using the connection.

I wouldn't worry about it. The gateways are set not to prioritise icmp requests

As long as the destination - the last one - is ok, there's nothing to be concerned about.
