Move to LLU

Hi, broadband contract with Sky is up in a couple of months. Exchange is NDHAW (Hawkinge Kent UK) Only listed LLU operator is Talktalk. Should I see improvement for gaming (Black ops) over the Sky connect service if I make the switch? Is it worth the change?

Don't forget you do not have to go to talk talk to get an LLU connection on your exchange.

I understand that some resellers use TalkTalk Business services to provide their LLU packages, two resellers that spring to mind are Vivaciti and Xilo.

If you won't be using P2P and don't mind using talktalk' web support (which is brilliant btw) then it makes more sense to go with talktalk direct as you will save quite a bit. For around £27 pm you'll get 100gb downloads per month (at least) +line rental+anytime calls to 01/02/03 0870/0845 numbers. Oh and your gaming pings will be around 15-20ms on a fastpath profile

Thanks for the info. Talktalk direct is the preferred option due to cost. Just need to make sure they've got some space in the local exchange before I make the jump then.

Of all the Talk Talk connections I have seen so far, I have only seen one that is decent.

If you go for Talk Talk, then I wish you good luck.

If that is the only choice you have and you want to go LLU, then I suggest you go with a reseller.

the problem with full LLU is it is a pain in the neck to move to another ISp if you need t.

But why should the OP waste his money on a TalkTalk reseller if he doesn't dabble in P2P? Contrary to popular opinion, talktalk's LLU service is actually very good; ample capacity, line speeds 24/7, great pings on fastpath profile and very good support on TalkTalk forums.

Whilst that is generally acknowledged, so is the room for improvement on their telephone support.

And if your internet connection has gone down...
