Hey, guys! I just moved to a new place 2 days ago and have been using Virgin broadband for almost a year but sadly, we don't have any fibre optic options in the new area.
Could you recommend me what's the best ADSL provider for gaming and streaming purposes?
Thanks!

Hi there,
sadly the answer to your question isn't straight forward, you need to establish some stuff to filter the answer, roughly how much data do you use a month, do you want a static IP, is UK based support an essential, etc, etc .... and I guess most important, what choices do the checkers state are open for you to order at your new address ?

Thanks for the details,
So the checkers say:
WBC ADSL 2+ Up to 3 -- 2.5 to 6.5 Available
ADSL Max Up to 3 -- 2 to 5.5 Available
Since we're going to use it for streaming and gaming, unlimited data would be great. I would like to have a good customer service, I guess being in the UK is better.

Use the BTw checker to see what is available from the exchange to your property:-

Yes you did. I think he may have meant to give you this link. Easiest is that you just tell us the exchange though, and we'll look it up ourselves . The exchange was given on the line above the table that gave you those figures.

Indeed I agree, I'm quite happy sticking with Plusnet for ADSL as have had very little issues with the actual connection and line speed, however phoning CS can be time consuming unless you phone first thing in the morning at the start of their shift.
Next choice for ISP would be BT since the exchange is still 20CN.

They do now have a web chat, that also has delays but perhaps more tolerable if you have something else to do on your PC at the same time. I had to use this facility to get the broadband switched on when I changed phone and BB suppliers. They should have activated the service at the same time as the phone.

I'm delighted with Andrews and Arnold (aa.net.uk). Not the cheapest, but if you go for the cheapest you'll get what you pay for. Very fast, generally not unlimited. I pay on a per GB of traffic basis, but there are lots of different options.
