Ain't that the truth!
I was cut off myself by Ace the Saturday before I migrated, I suspect it was because of postings here and on another forum that Steven didn't like. My Worldpay agreement was not even cancelled by me at the time earlier and I was in credit with them. I checked into the matter with BT and another ISP contact and it was clear that Ace had flipped the switch on me.
I posted at another ADSL forum stating that my brother in law was a partner in a law firm and that I would sue Ace's a$$ off for it and lo and behold my connection was magically restored within an hour of that posting. Spoke again to my ISP contact and he checked it out to back me up. I never bothered contacting Ace at the time because it seemed "certain" numbers never get answered, great thing caller ID and I was migrating the Tuesday after to my current ISP. Also, there were a few of us who had gripes regarding the service and were leaving and more than one had various threats made to them regarding disconnection at max adsl forums because they continued to post comments that the Ace service was not running properly as paid for.
Oh of course I was mad, I then made certain of cancelling my Worldpay agreement there and then but was not disconnected by Ace until migration date - I guess my very real threat of action and breach of contract on their part had them (sorry him) worried no doubt.
I never bothered posting this here at AG at the time for a number of reasons, main one being I was just glad to get away from these cowboys, but now this has happened I only feel right that this customer should be backed up as to their petty little nonsense. As uk_lad rightly continues to state, isn't it funny how Ace's customers are pretty much *always in the wrong* and Steve never apologises for any of his actions. No it's not funny, it stinks in fact!
