That's what you get from a 1-man band selling a residential connection from a business wholesaler that buy from BT. You are much better off cutting out the middle-men and going direct

There's certain benefits with using a small ISP that were ruined when the leechers were around but are now evident that they've all left for AOL.

With the prices and caps settled down to a level which is obviously is striking a good balance Ace's biz package is actually still quite attractive.

But I say that from a standpoint that I've always had good speeds with ace my old house synced at 8128 and quite reguarly downloaded at 900k/s, and always had good customer service through emails, I've always been polite and curtious and CS has always been the same back and had all my questions answered double time.

I'm lucky I moved house because I was going to leave ace for a ISP offering more transfer per month, turns out 80Gb a month is acceptable for me.

My gaming rig:-
64 4000+ @ 2.7Ghz
2Gb PC3200
7950 GX2 (1024Mb)
2x Raptor 10,000 RPM HDD's in RAID 0

Enjoying 8Mbit with Ace-Internet

Princess_Frosteh, you get right up my nose, everyone is a leecher to you, when Indeed you download alot more than what I do. What the hell do you d/l thats 80gig?.

I'm sorry, Ace Internet are the worst Isp I've been with, and I'm not the only one who says that.

Calling everyone "Leechers" who have moved from Ace, really shows how narrow minded you are.

I'm still to get hold of a clown at this circus, they call ACE, to sort out a request for my MAC, this on the 5th of August, giving them their month notice, still heard nothing back from call messages, and email , 200% agree with the previous post, most definitely the worse provider I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. Do Trading Standards also take complaints for Internet Providers?

I never said everyone who left is a leecher.

The loose definition of leeching I'm using are people downloading more than what they're paying for, I've never used over my cap on any package I've been with. I don't download 80Gb a month, now Im on my own It's more likely to be 40Gb a month, but I want the piece of mind that means I can use it if I need to.

What I download with my bandwidth is entirely non of your business.

Again I didn't say everyone who moved away from Ace are leechers, merely that all the leechers have left, this is not the same thing, I'm sorry you can't understand that.

I've found it's much easier to get through to them via email or even PM's on the forum. I've never phoned them directly although I did PM steve and ask him to call me, which he did fairly promptly.

If your priorities are to get your problem sorted as fast as possible I would definitely email them first.
