Hi there Anon

Tiscali have pretty much the worst reputation in the industry with Poor Support / Slow Speeds / Connection Problems / Billing Errors etc, see link below for further details

Assuming you have received a MAC from Euro1net you could consider

AOL offers an up to 8Mbps Platinum service with unlimited usage over any given month for

Reality,

Just when I've been posting the virtues of Tiscali, I come across this....! lol My girlfriends fault, she told me how good they were....hopefully not past tense...!!

I hope its just a case of every large organisation having a few dozen irate customers, and not as bad as it appears for me, now I'm in my first month at Tiscali !!

I would just suggest that the link at ISP Review seems somewhat skewed - only a couple of new TalkTalk complaints in the month when all hell has broken loose over their complete shambles, yet Tiscali get more...!!!??? Something doesn't quite add up.

I'm not a heavy enough user to push the FUP, to find out how bad they really are, so maybe I can stay under their radar and stay happy.

Average 2Mb/s speeds for a few ISPs just picked as names I recognised in the dropdown...

(I think some max results have crept into these though)

Hi there MalPitt

The ISPreview site is only one medium to get an overall picture of the level of dissatisfaction about Tiscali, but the picture grows when you start seeing the same message coming across from other sources and forums.

If you take a look in ADSLGUIDE

This information is invaluable. I will shortly be leaving Euro1net and will have to make my choice shortly. I am down to one of three - newnet, Freeola or UKFSN. Feedback on all these fora looks pretty good to me and I am currently edging towards UKFSN. I fancy the price of 20/month and the one month contract. There is a start up charge for which I await some clarification but I will hopefully be able to claim this against my credit card company for replacing the Euro1net service!

My usage is typically 2Gb per month surfing mostly in peak times and 50Gb stratcily off peak (11pm-7am) p2p. I am assuming that this pattern will fit nicely with all of the above packages. Can anyone give me final advice....

Thanks for that and is it fair to say they all have a pretty good reputation and woudl suit y needs? thanks for your time. This forum is so refreshing as is Euro1net thread too. I hated my days at freedom2surf. The thread there gort pretty abusive - in line with their service mind you...
