Which ISP Please: 8Mb BB, Reliable, cheap. AND...

- Very small usage - so Cap will not be an issue. (We're talking the odd email and online shopping... for a middle aged couple)
- Very reactive support (customer has a very, very short temper - can never see the wood through the trees)
- Therefore reliability will be paramount

I would recommend looking at the Home Lite product from NewNet. It offers 3GB included Data allowance for

Another call for NewNet. I've been with them for about 2 months now and every aspect of their service is excellent. I am particularly impressed with their customer services, how well mannered they are on the phone and how well they keep you informed etc.

Looks like Newnet is the best ISP for the price.

I also think Metronet is very good for the price if low use.

I will recommend IDNet. They have an exemplery Customer Services and Support both of which are contactable by phone or email with instant answers. All UK based and they know what they are talking about.

Ok folks, thanks for all the advice.

Due to the popularity in the response, I'm going to consider recommending Newnet to the customer (not my friend - I'm choosy) but I did mention that I'm looking for the best of the "Household names" ...

Problem is, most of the 'household names' are poor ISPs

Yes,

Been with Zen for 4 years. Works fine.

If the people are using Sky, & sky BB MAX is on their exchange then go for the Sky BB package (not Connect). This works fine also.
