you may not even receive a broadband service from talk talk, but the router config of you are on a BT provided service is the same.

If you aren't on a Talk Talk unbundled exchange you will probably only get a fixed speed of 2M or less and the free bit will be 10 per month.

I have a feeling that you will instantly regret moving from Enta to TT. But each to their own, I guess some people get fed up of having real broadband with good customer service. :-)

The OPs idea does seem to contravene "If it ain't broke don't fix it", even if it may be a bit cheaper in theory.

When I was with TalkTalk their support department was the worst I have ever dealt with. Their customer services continuallty lied to me and let me down. In the end they let me leave mid contract for free due to the appalling service.

Having said that people do say it works fine for them and it is cheap. My experience was very poor gaming pings at peak times 150ms+, web browsing was very slow and unreliable etc. My new ISP have low gaming pings at all times and web browsing is fast. You get what you pay for in the end.
