the difference is that if you decide you dont like BE after a month , it will only cost you 50 compared to 11 months subscription on another service. Either that or you could just give three months notice and suffer with great speeds , great upload, a friendly staff and unlimited downloads.

It's such a hardship. Also considering you have just come out of a contract with poopex i think you have a cheek calling BE.

If you can get bethere, take it. Compared to other BT based providers that will only be able to give you 8meg max and some will tie you in for 12 months, bethere is a sensible option. AFAIK the contract is a 3 month rolling one which you can terminate any time (providing you give the notice off course).
Other sevices you could consider are Sky (if you already have sky tele their broadband will be cheap and probably faster then most, normally if bethere are at your exchange sky/easynet will be also but check first)
Ukonline and Virgin CABLE (not there BT max based products) are 2 others id consider, but they will both tie you into a 12 month contract, from may or there abouts Virgin on cable are introducing a 20Mb service also..
If you dont want LLU or cable then id say go for an Entanet provider, they have several packages under

Have a look at IDnet. Well regarded by many as an exemplary ISP.

Not taking anything away from idnet (very good provider) but the poster did ask for something as close to uncapped as possible, which idnet is far from.

The OP did say uncapped if possible, which is differnt from saying as close to uncapped as possible. That is what I went on. But if the OP wants to pay out more then they can get an uncapped package from IDnet via their business packages. As is normal though the more you want the more you have to pay.

Idnet is not suitable for a user that wants uncapped, close to uncapped or however you want to put it IMO. There are plenty just as good as IDnet with bigger allowances for less.
I dont mean to be rude cavillas but you seem to recommend IDnet to any post in this section of the forum rather then recommend providers based on what the person is asking.

For cheaper high usage accounts the following may be worth a look:

ukfsn 60GB (+ 330GB off-peak)

I can only recommend the ISP I am with because I don't know anything about the others bacuse I have not been with them Other than PlusNet or adsl4less, both of whom I will not recommend.

It seems obvious that I cannot recommend another ISP if I have no experience of them any more would I recommend a book or film which I havn't read or seen.
