Unlimited isp high usage account, cant find one!

[link to this post]

I've been going through post after post and i see so many conflicting reports its hard to tell who is good and who is not. The forum layout really ticks me off too by the fact it lists all the replies underneath the original post meaning its harder to scan for WHOLE threads grrr...
I'm with AOL right now, excellent service etc really loved the speeds. Now recently I have been getting throttled, when i contact them about it they completely deny and say they will perform line tests and what not. Basically they lie completely about the throttling.
Anyway that aside, im looking for:
Uncapped (i know this doesnt exist but something like 60gb peak 300gb op a month is good)
8mb+

Under "Main Site" at the top right there are buttons "Flat" and "Threaded". I reckon your "Flat" is greyed out? Click "Threaded".

Entanet is huge and expanding it's equipment but only sells direct to businesses. For retail they use Partners (resellers) - Vivaciti and ukfsn are 2. ADSL24 is another, there are others but I either don't know or forget who, it is late etc.... On these forums they get very good reports, mainly in the recommendations in "Which ISP" and "ISP unhappiness". Remember, in a specific ISP forum there is little incentive to post that you are happy, only that you are unhappy. Hence the postings where I said. All the Entanet resellers are included in the Entanet forum.

Also look at "Compare" in the Main Site.

Ah yeah the flat button helps!
Tried the compare section on the site before i posted, didnt really help as they could say all they want that i need (which alot do), i prefer to go mainily off user comments before i commit to an isp as for example aol and bulldog - first off they seem like really good choices, start reading the user comments and you learn to stay away.

Yeah i checked the entanet forum and ive researched their resellers which is why i mentioned them Anyway i understand people usually post if they are unhappy as opposed to if they are happy. Its the frequency of these reports im looking at aswell as the date.

Entanet does look like the best choice so far but there could be that gem I didnt even consider, so ill idle about on the site a bit more

based on your 60gig peak and 300gig off peak or more requirements id say you have already really answered your own question... Go for an Entanet provider, viviciti, adsl24 or ukfsn (in no order) would be my choices, all 3 are basically the same, and any one of them im sure you will be happy with

Not what they say in their blurbs, did you try the tick boxes and comparison histograms? They are user ratings of speed, reliability and customer service, and likely to include happy as well as unhappy, whereas we agree the forums are biased towards unhappy.

I think you're confused about LLU. Many LLU suppliers just supply the broadband, leaving BT to supply the phone as normal. No BT reconnection issues. Have a look at Be for example. I've never heard of anybody hitting a download limit on Be (even running at over 20Mbps), there's almost no contention, and they have good customer service. It's a no brainer for anybody that's prepared to pay

Have a look at Aquiss for a Enta reseller. They are a larger company previously specialising in VOIP technologies. They are a bit more expensive due to having a larger support base that need paying.

With all Enta resellers, Enta will sort everyone out taking over the ISP and issuing everyone with a MAC code for you to migrate to another reseller or a completely different ISP if you wish.

With LLU the isp puts its own hardware into your exchange to connect you, you are disconnected from the normal bt max services etc so if you want to stop using your current isp (llu) then you have to pay a

I've chose to go with adsl24. Phoned up AOL and asked for my migration code and discovered a few things:

I'm on a "switcher on/off" account which i had no idea about (was told i was signing up to a 1 month contract roll over)

They monitor customers usage based on "time" rather than bandwidth use, as a result i was put on the fair usage policy because of the "time" i was online on my "always on platinum account". Even more odd by the fact i was told online through live help i was not on any fair usage policy. That also leads to another can of worms where i was told they would "test" my line because of the low speeds i described.

I was told ofcom told aol to regulate usage by time rather than bandwidth usage now.

I was told they could not generate make keys and it would take 48 hours to get one via email, when i challenged this the representitive said its because previous isps offered monthly contracts where as AOL only offers 12month contracts.

Is any of this true or are they lieing through their teeth?
